Family members, coaches and leaders of Special Olympics and Best Buddies International from forty states will converge on Washington, D. C. on February 8th for the annual Capitol Hill Day to help ensure that the needs of and equality of people with disabilities are at the forefront of important upcoming political discussions.

The groups will also be advocating for passage of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Act of 2012 to honor the founder of Special Olympics, who died in 2009.

The contingency will meet on February 8th at 5:30 p.m. E.T. at the Capitol Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C.
