Tuesday Kudos to #Disneyland for adding characters sitting in wheelchairs to its much-loved attraction, “It’s a Small World.”
As a mom that still remembers taking my excited son (who used a wheelchair), and his able-bodied big sister on this attraction years ago, this news touches my heart deeply.
Disney spokespersons cite the addition as providing a more accurate representation of diversity, and they plan to add more characters in wheelchairs to its other theme parks.
