Today is the day when most kids across the country finally return to the classroom for another year of learning.
It’s an important, exciting and emotional day for many, and one which should give us all pause as we decide what we really want for our nation’s children.
Education is a big key to brighter futures for all children.

To all the educators, students, and their parents, I wish you the best school year, ever.
To those parents sending off a child with differing abilities today, you have an extra-special place in my heart. I see you. You matter. Your child matters. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Take your critical advocacy role seriously.
To everyone reading this, let’s do our part to help ensure that all those big 2022/23 school dreams really do happen for our kids.
