It’s been a while since I’ve added any cool new UGG boots to my closet.

Given the cost, when I do purchase them, I tend to invest for long term.

That means less spending and greater price per wear.

But this fall, I’ve discovered a pair of just-above-the-ankle UGGs that I couldn’t resist.

The UGG Brooklyn Sunset Boots are one cool short boot.

More importantly, they have a very sturdy base to them, including a decent heel and great treads, something I am especially careful about choosing in my boots these days.

I don’t want to fall on the ice.

Been there. Done that. Not fun.

The cost of $200 is about normal for this brand, and this new style appears to be selling fast. I first saw them online at anthropologie.com; but they were on backorder. So, I cancelled my order there and headed over to Zappos.com, where I scored the last pair in my size.

If you want them and can afford them, act sooner rather than later.

Be sure to follow the sizing suggestions because UGGs sometimes run large depending on the style. I got mine in a size 8 1/2-EU 39.5. I usually wear a EU39, but the extra room in this boot was a good choice. They seem to run a bit narrow.

I’m all ready for the upcoming inclement weather with my new Sassy Fashionista UGGs!

Less likely to fail and break something, too. Ugh…

Pun intended.
