After working hard all day on house and yard, hubby decided to take a quick late short road trip about an hour from our home to get dinner to go and refuel.

On the way to our destination, the sky was cloudy with reports of rain clearly imminent.

But as we headed home, there was no rain and threatening skies had instead turned to a magnificent pink and orange spectacular that ran clear across the darkening evening sky.

Mother Nature was clearly having a moment, and we enjoyed her unexpected gift of this natural marvel all the way home.

Complete with jamming in our seats to some great 60’s hits on the radio.

Sometimes local treks bring the greatest gifts. That was the case for us last night.
