While I adore Hydrangeas and can’t image my garden without them. I’m also a huge fan of Peonies, the stunning and much-loved subject of today’s Garden Moments.
This year’s chilly spring weather, which extended into early June, really slowed down the 2025 Peony Magic Show.
Only now, after a couple of days (finally!!) of warm weather and sun, have they begun to show off.
Here are some shots of one of my favorite Peony bushes from my mother-in-law’s yard. Mary passed a couple of years ago, but before she did, I promised that I would re-home her beloved peony bushes to my garden, where the beautiful tradition could continue.
That also includes two plants in her first-grandchild’s garden.
I know Mary is smiling big.
As are her Peonies.
My sweet interpretation.
Are there Peonies in your almost-summer garden?
