One thing I haven’t mentioned on this Sassy Fashionista blog yet this summer is linen.
Specifically the linen dress featured in this post.
So here we go.
Early in the season I added two of these lovely dresses to my closet. One in the rich plum shown here, and another in a gentle shade of orange. I was tempted by a brown one, too. But even I have budget limits.
I love color in my wardrobe, especially in the summer when I retire much of my black favs. But I did add this cute Free People studded black belt.
Let me tell you all the ways in which I love this dress.
I love the length. I’m a petite girl, and this length hits perfectly at my ankles, including with my favorite summer sandals. It does run a bit slim, so consider your body shape before purchasing. Maybe order a size up?

I love the simple lines that make it a versatile choice for a fun evening out, a visit to a museum, or for a meeting or travel. When the weather starts to cool this fall, I can easily add a jacket or sweater over the dress, some ankle boots or heels, and max out my price per wear.
Always a plus.
Finally, this linen dress doesn’t wrinkle much, and it has pockets!!!
Enough said.
