I’m pretty sure this week’s Sassy Fashionista Rundown Balloon Pants are going to generate some strong reactions.
You’re either gonna love ’em, or you’re gonna hate ’em.
Just read the reviews online. Lots of opinionated energy there.
They come in three colors. This one is Quail, which looks like lavender to me.

I admit I like them so much, I also ordered the Olive Leaves pair.
I might grab black in the future, too.
I bought both for fall. That’s how I justified the purchase.
As their name implies, these pants are wide-legged. You might also call them hammer pants. Remember those?
I personally love ’em. With just a slight dash of unsure.
Here’s why.
First, these pants are very comfortable, and I’m all about comfort these days. But I still want quality and style. I also think they look a bit like a long skirt, and I love long skirts.
The fabric, a cotton-nylon blend, is lovely and feels good against the skin. These pants can be easily be dressed up or down. They are lightweight and perfect with a tank and Birkies for the warm weather we’ve been having lately. You can also wear them for fall with a thinner, long-sleeved shirt, romantic blouse, or long cardigan.
I also think they will look great under a statement long coat, possibly leather or suede.
They have an easy drawstring waist and side pockets. With their unusual wide-cuff detail around the bottom, the style is unlike any pair of pants I’ve seen before. It’s a lovely and feminine touch. Note: Size down if you don’t the over-oversized look. They are big. I got a medium. I’m still debating getting a small; but I’m concerned they may ride up in the crotch in a smaller size. No thank you.
They also make a bit of swish sound as you walk. You’ll have to pass judgement on that one for yourself. If I return them for any reason, that may be it.
At $128.00, what these bold pants are not is inexpensive.

I’m a comfy, stylish pants kind of petite girl, and these fit the bill. They fit without dragging on the ground, too often a problem for petite gals like me, especially with Free People. These are a statement piece you need to feel comfortable wearing. You can’t let them were you. Think fashion confidence and sass.
That said, I suggest you pair them with a close fitting top so you don’t look like you’re drowning in your outfit. These pants put on a show all their own, and you will get noticed wearing them. Accent carefully.
It’s a thin line between cool and clown with this Sassy look.
Are you into balloon plants? Or, will you pass on this one?
