According to Autism Speaks, one of the premier resources for information on autism spectrum disorders (ASD), 1 in 110 children is now diagnosed with autism. For boys, that number is 1 in 70, alarming statistics creating concern for many families.

The good news is that as the number of these cases continues to rise, so does the commitment to providing resources and research to discover a cause and potential cures.

The Interactive Autism Network (IAN) is an innovative online project bringing together tens of thousands of people nationwide affected by autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and hundreds of researchers in a search for answers. The site provides families the opportunity to securely share information and participate in what IAN calls the largest online autism research effort in the United States.
