For this week’s Sassy Fashionista, I went back into my closet to grab my current favorite pair of Anthropologie.com dark-wash, wide-legged jeans, and paired them with a new, simple FreePeople.com FP Movement off-shoulder top that’s black and long sleeved.

Lots of people order such pieces for their workouts and I will use this one for that purpose too. But I’m always on the search for cute tops, and this one provides that, especially when worn over a Free People wide-strap bra/top, as I’ve done here.

This outfit is simple. It’s cute. It’s stylish and sassy, it has holes to place over your thumbs/lower wrist (love this feature), and I feel good in it. Key point. At $48, this piece is affordable and helps me create an outfit that looks more expensive. I did size up because I wasn’t looking to show my belly with this one, and these tops often run small.

Never underestimate what’s already in your closet. You don’t always need to buy a whole new outfit to shake up your wardrobe. Think price per wear and make good choices along the way. Like I did when I purchased these jeans earlier this year that I wear often. Shop smart and you will probably be able to make an outfit work anytime.

I added a few favorite rings (always), my fav black Birkies, and I’m ready to go. If I want to work out, I’ll just switch out the bottoms and shoes. Simple.

The result is that I’ve created a simple and cute Sassy Fashionista Vibe just as a new week begins. Easy peasy.

Are you investing in simpler pieces that help you expand your wardrobe, while also watching your budget?
