I admit that this Sassy Fashionista loves dresses.
But not just any dress. It has to be just the right style and color, and price matters, too.
It’s highly unlikely that I will pay more than $200 for even a drop-dead-gorgeous dress. Mainly because I’m pretty sure I can find something similar that’s still good quality and stylish at a lower price if I search hard enough.
I will certainly try, and today’s choices support that statement.

I want something simple, slightly elegant, with sophisticated style. I don’t want any ruffles or Little-House-on-the-Prairie elements. Fashion ugh.
I don”t want to see the exact same dress being worn by several other woman, either. Right now, My big color choices for fall are anything in a wine or plum shade, from the palest pink, to the most vibrant burgundy. Deep, rich red also tops my fashion list.
So imagine how excited I was to find a beautiful, affordable dress in each color within a couple of days of each other this month!
I scored a lovely red maxi dress with cinching on the side by Rachel Zoe in-store at Marshall’s for just $24.99! Unbelievable price, Lovely fabric, too.

Then, I discovered a beautiful lighter shade of plum at H & M online for around the same price. It also has an unexpected single-side scarf that adds a little extra pizzaz. This one is a bit Hollywood Glam.

I’m all in for that, too.
I got both dresses in a medium and both fit perfectly. The price per wear is not even an issue with these two dresses since they are so inexpensive and not budget busters. I could wear them just once and be okay with cost before donating them.
Which made this Sassy Fashionista very happy indeed.
What clothing pieces and colors are you coveting this fall?
